The last day on the road, and there was never a dull moment.
This morning was ugly, cold, and raining as we left Coeur d’Alene Idaho. I spent time wiping down our car – which was filthy from driving through muddy snow – and redoing some of the writing on the windows. We couldn’t very well drive into Vancouver with such a mess all over our car, now could we?
We caught a quick glimpse of Seattle from afar as we made our way through Washington, but it was veiled in a mist. We hit some nasty weather as we passed through the northern part of the Cascade mountain range, but it cleared to absolutly beautiful blue skies. There was far more snow here than we had seen elsewhere, but it only made the mountains all the more amazing to see.
We crossed the boarder into Canada at last, just as we finished up Claudia Black’s reading of Shell game. I was a little sad that I didn’t earn my first stamp in my passport book, since Canada has an open boarder policy in regards to the US. I’m so very excited to be here, though! Even as we checked into the Hilton I saw fellow fans in the lobby. How do I know? They were chatting animatedly with each other, and wearing Stargate shirts and jewelry!
You must forgive me for giving a shorter report for today. There’s so much to do to prepare for tomorrow, and I must be up early. Tomorrow is my Locations Tour, and it begins at 9:00 am, Pacific. I have to be downstairs in the hotel lobby by 8:45, with camera fully charged and with every camera card I own in hand!
