Hello Fans!
In the continuing tradition of providing you, the fans, with the very best in convention coverage, WormholeRiders is pleased to formally announce coverage of Dragon Con 2009! Now we’re sure you’re asking, “what on earth is Dragon Con?” Ah, gather round the campfire folks and we’ll tell you about one of the largest and most awesome conventions in the world!
Dragon Con is a yearly convention covering the sci-fi and fantasy genres. But that’s not all! Dragon Con also covers music, comics, video games, art, science and pretty much anything your little geeky or nerdy heart desires! It’s a huge convention unlike anything you’ve ever seen! Of course now you’re asking, “How huge is it?” Well, lean in close and we’ll tell you!
Every Labor Day weekend Dragon Con takes over four hotels in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Over that four day weekend approximately fifty-five thousand fans converge for everything from panels to costume contests, concerts to films, photo sessions to autographs and so many other activities that we can’t possibly list them all!
This year’s Dragon Con is proving to be bigger than all the rest with a guest list nearing 400! That’s right folks, we said 400 GUESTS! That’s 400 different ways to squeal! And of course there will be plenty of squealing for all of the wormhole fans out there when the guest list includes: Claudia Black, Ben Browder, Colin Cunningham, Joe Flanigan, Gary Jones, Paul McGillion, Jason Momoa, as well as Virginia Hey and Lani John Tapu from Farscape!
But how does this help you, the fan, who maybe can’t make it to Dragon Con this year? Never fear! WormholeRiders is here! PlayItGrand and I will be reporting to you live from the trenchs as we wait in long lines for panels and autographs, converse with fellow fans and attempt to stay awake all weekend so that we can povide you with the best possible convention coverage! We are hoping to give you daily blog posts about our activities so that those of you who couldn’t make it this year can feel as though you’re right there with us!
So put your seat belts on and remember to keep your arms and legs inside the wormhole at all times as WormholeRiders gears up for Dragon Con 2009!!!
