Well we finally made it. We left Chicago last night around 9:00 p.m. and arrived here in beautiful Flowery Branch, Georgia at well, 9:00 a.m. Overall we made good time with myself, my husband and WhiteRabite taking turns with the driving. Now we’re here in Flowery Branch to spend some quality time with my wonderful in-laws (and to take showers and naps) before we head down to Atlanta.
PlayItGrand and I are really excited to be picking up our official Dragon Con media badges and we’ll finally get to meet the awesome director of Media Relations, Mr. Dan Carroll.
Tonight is the press party which is really exciting. We’ll get to mingle with other reporters, news media and even a few of the guests! If we’re allowed to take pictures you better believe we will!
Then it will be back to the hotel room to figure out our schedules.
Friday will bring an early rise for me while I get in line to try and get in to the one and only Nimoy and Shatner panel. How once in a lifetime is that?! Then it’s on to the Stargate panels including a Supergate panel with Ben Browder, Claudia Black and the other Stargate stars! WhiteRabite and I will have a quick change into our costumes (sorry, they’re Farscape related!) to have our picture taken with the handsome Mr. Ben Browder. We’ll likely try and get a few autographs in there as well.
Saturday and Sunday are both packed with pictures, panels and even a surprise or two! We’re very excited to bring you “live” Dragon Con coverage so keep checking back often!
