DragonCon: On the Way Down

Well, at least the car is not nearly as full as it was on the way to Vancouver! XD

I’m better equipped this trip too! I have two more 4GB SD cards for my camera, the family camcorder, and a power converter to charge my laptop off of the car’s power.

We’re taking our time on the way down to Atlanta. Today we got as far as Dry Ridge Kentucky, a ways north of Lexington. Tomorrow we plan to spend a good portion of the day at the Kentucky Horse Park, home of many of the most famous winners of the king’s sport like Cigar, and the resting place of legends such as Man O War. I’ve visited it once before, and I’m excited to get to go back. I have a mission. The first time I came through, I had not yet met my buddy Gershwin. It wasn’t until a couple months after I had bought him that I learned that one of his previous owners had purchased a brick of the entrance pavilion and had “Play It Grand” printed on it! How cool is that!? The individual who told me got a picture of it for me, but I’m determined to see it with my own eyes.

The scenery so far on this drive has not been much to speak of, as anyone who has ever driven through Southern Illinois and Indiana can tell you. I have no doubt it will improve as we move farther into the Bluegrass State.

Since the scenery wasn’t much, I spent most of my time on my computer and on my phone, Tweeting and working on my report for Connor Trinneer at the Chicago Creation Convention. Don’t worry folks, I’m almost done!

We’ll be starting early in the morning so we can have enough time at the park while still putting enough miles behind us. Signing off for now! Want to keep up to date on what we WormholeRiders are doing? Follow us on Twitter!
