While at Comic-Con 2010 in San Diego, courtesy of MGM Studios it was my great pleasure to sit down with the fabulously talented Robert Carlyle to talk about his role as SGU’s Dr. Nicholas Rush, his thoughts about conventions, Twitter, and video games. Spoiler Alert! Without giving away too many details, Mr. Carlyle did give some advance information about what is in store for us on SGU next season and I, for one, am very excited.  Secrets will be revealed, decisions made, and might there be aliens…?
All new episodes of Stargate Universe season two will air on SyFy beginning in September 28, 2010 according to the most recent information available to WHR. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the Robert Carlyle interview as much as I did conducting it. OffWordTravelr (Ginger) Click to visit OffworldTravelr (Ginger) on Twitter!

Hi, do you also have a transcript of the interview? unfortunately the voice in the background is rather loud so I do not understand everything RC is telling. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Ginger,

EXCELLENT interview! I love Robert Carlyle, and you did a wonderful job of drawing him out on what he finds fascinating. Which, of course, is fascinating to watch.

I was frustrated that there was so much background noise in the room. Is there any chance you could put up a transcript, because there was a lot I wasn’t able to pick out, and this is a juicy enough interview that I don’t want to lose any of it.

    Again, GREAT JOB!

great interview, well done! 🙂 To bad that some bits and pieces are really hard to understand with all the background noise.

    Hello Ganger, Jacque and Mimma,

Thank you for the nice comments on the Robert Carlyle interview conducted by OffWorldTravelr. The team had a very enjoyable Red Carpet experience with “Dr. Rush” courtesy of the great team at MGM Studios.

On the subject of the audio, yes dual interviews were being conducted in the same room for this interview and there was bleed through that could not be scrubbed from the existing soundtrack. We may have access to a separate soundtrack and are investigating such an option. With regard to transcripts, none exists at this time. Let us work the second soundtrack option. Thank you.

    Best Regards,

    Hi guys,

first of all I wanna thank you for the fantastic SDCC coverage. 🙂 It´s great to hear so much from the panel´s. I am especially a big fan of SGU and Robert Carlyle. I was listen to you interviews with Robert Cooper and Robert Carlyle, but was barley able to understand what you guys where talking, thanks to the background noise. Is it somehow possible to clear this video from the background chatter or put a transcript on the site from the Interview?
I really like to know what the two where saying about them personally and also about Stargate.
If you could put a transcript up or send me, I would be eternal grateful for that! 🙂
Or maybe any tips for making the noise a bit less interruptive?

Thanks beforehand and keep up the great work!
    Claudia

    Hi Claudia,

Thank you for your e-mail. Posting as a comment so all can read.

WHR is examining a second sound track recorded during the interview which had its microphone directed at Mr. Carlyle. It will be uploaded soon. As far as transcripts, WHR is a video based site and doing a transcript is a very time consuming matter. Let us examine the second sound track and if better we will do a second revision of Mr. Carlyle’s interview. Thanks again.

    Best Regards

    WR_Systems,

I’ll keep checking back in periodically (’cause I REALLY want to listen to this again all the way through) but is there any chance of an email going out should you get a new sound track up? Thanks again!

    Hi Jacque,

Thank you for your comment. The reporter with the other soundtrack is on an HD wide screen camera is out of town on personal business until Wednesday next week. Once it is available, I will check and if quality is better replace the soundtrack and redo the interview. Take care.

    Best Regards
