About RadioStar!
The real owner of RadioStar? Why of course that would be her horse Radio Star! Whatever you do, please don't tell Radio Star or her husband! LOL!

Hi Everyone!
It's time I introduce myself. I'm RadioStar, also known as GreenEggs&Samm. PlayItGrand introduced me to this site and I've been a fan ever since! She can also take total credit for sucking me into the Stargate universe as much as I can take credit for hooking her on Farscape! She's got me watching Stargate on the way to work, on my lunch break, on my way home from work and before bed! I can't get enough of it!
I'm a total fan girl through and through and I'm delighted to be working with a site that's run by the fans for the fans! You don't get any better then that!
Lets see, I should probably tell you a little about myself, no? I'm a geek. 100%. I just got married in October 2008 and my husband and I just bought our first horse (yes, I said horse) in January. Radio Star is our baby (hence my handle). He's an American Saddlebred gelding and has the biggest personality I've ever seen! He's like a 1,000 lb labrador retriever. He loves cuddles and treats and puts everything in his mouth. So in a way, it's kind of like having a three year old. PlayItGrand and I board our horses at the same barn which is how we met and my journey into the Stargate universe began.
My geek roots run deep. It all started when I developed what could only be described as a ginormous crush on Commander William T. Riker. I was obsessed. I was in love. I was in the 5th grade. So while my classmates were squealing over The New Kids on the Block, I was writing "Mrs. Commander Riker" all over my notebooks. Thus began my journey as a fan girl.
Then there was David Duchovney in high school. But I lost interest when he left the X-Files and got married (because, you know, I had a chance). So I moved on to Xena: Warrior Princess. There were multiple reasons I loved Xena. 1) there were horses (always a good reason for me); 2) Sam Remi was the producer; 3) Ted Remi was in it and he was a goofy hottie after my own heart.
In college I discovered Farscape and was instantly hooked. Who doesn't love muppets? Plus there was the added benefit of Ben Browder in leather pants...do we see a trend here? All silliness aside, it was the first sci-fi show where I actually liked every character. The actors were great, the writing was phenomenal, the sets were fantastic, the costumes were out of this world and the characters sucked you in and left you wanting more. So from then on I became a Farscape fan, far surpassing my fan girl stints for ST:TNG, X-Files, Xena and whatever else fell in between.
Around here Sunday night is Farscape night. A group of us gathers for food, laughter and Farscape! It's a wonderful tradition and I'll be sad when we finally finish the series though I think that means we just move on to Firefly!
Aside from that I've participated in and now run my own Farscape RPG online. It's written round robin fanfic style with each player taking on a character. It's great fun and an excellant way to flex your writing muscles in a friendly and creative environment free of the pressures of developing a full story on your own! The best part is that we're always looking for new players! Other genres and crossovers are always welcome! (*cough* shameless plug *cough cough*).
I'm very excited to be covering this year's Dragon Con for Wormholeriders! You'll get panel transcripts, videos, pictures and commentary from one of the largest sci-fi conventions on this planet! Our convention coverage will also be available through the awesome folks over at Claudia Black Online (www.claudiablackonline.com). If you haven't been over there, check them out!
There are some fantastic things in store for you!! But I'm not going to spill the beans! You'll just have to wait and see!
Later Gators!!!
Radio Star

5. Favorite Band/Performer/s:
Rosemary Clooney, Mika, Abney Park, Signal Room, Aerosmith, Butterfly 9, The Big Bad Voodoo Daddies, The Who, Blaqk Audio, MC Chris, Jonathan Coulton, Kathy Griffin and Eddie Izzard.
6. Hobbies:
Horseback riding! Lots and lots of horseback riding! Showing (Saddleseat: Show Pleasure), writing, reading, video games, watching bad movies, providing my own dialogue to bad movies, sewing, swimming, cooking/baking when the mood strikes me, and researching nerdy things I'm interested in.
7. Pets:
Cat named Blackie and a horse named Radio Star ERB who is more like a child than a pet.
8. What's your theme song?
In high school it definitely would have been "David Duchovney" by Bree Sharp. Now, either Jonathan Richman's "Since She Started to Ride" or Armand and Angelina's "Disney Freak." My husband says both apply.
9. If you could have a sidekick, who would it be?
It'd have to be a mutant squirrel. Squirrels can get into anything and they're zippy. Even better would be a mutant zombie squirrel!! A rabid mutant zombie squirrel! It'd have the taste for blood, super powers, all the vicious energy from rabies and still be super cute looking...well, maybe not that cute.
10. Favorite food:
Lucky Charms. If I could eat them at every meal and not get fat I would. I've loved them since I was a kid. And watermelon. Man do I love watermelon. I can easily eat a whole one by myself in a week! And tuna. But not together! I also REALLY love grape soda. I don't know why. I just really love it. Of course I love chocolate too but what woman doesn't?
11. What would you keep in a utility belt?
A GPS so I don't get lost, scissors because I always seem to need them, a needle & thread in case my pants rip, an umbrella because with my luck it'll start to rain, my ipod to entertain me, a rope for climbing, and a batarang in case zombies attack.
12. Favorite Stargate Episode:
"Urgo" - It made me laugh so hard people on the train were staring at me. I also really loved "Ascension" if only for Teal'c in a cowboy hat and "Momento Mori". Of course this list could change as I watch more and more of the show!
13. What was your sci-fi gateway drug?:
Star Trek the Next Generation. Which was strange because my parents aren't into sci-fi at all. I loved Commander Riker. What can I say? He was a hottie! My dorkdom has flowed as follows: ST:TNG --> X-Files --> Xena --> Farscape/Stargate. I have to lump Farscape and Stargate together because I still really love Farscape!
14. What's under your bed?:
Would you believe I actually checked? A box half filled with off season shoes (yes, there is such a thing!), dust, an old lotto ticket (we didn't win obviously), approximately $0.17, a sparkly blue sock that I've been searching for, and enough cat hair balls to make another cat or a sweater. You will be happy to know that with the discovery of the cat hair clones I have since vacuumed under my bed.
15. Favorite TV show (not Stargate):
Farscape! Firefly, BBC Documentaries, My Life on the D-List, Little Britain, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, South Park, and Wife Swap (I'm horribly addicted. I should be ashamed to even admit it).
16. What is your dream job?:
I've always wanted to be an actress on TV (particularly a sci-fi show since they get to do all the cool stuff), but I wouldn't mind being a writer for a TV show, a costume designer or train horses for film. I'm always open to career changes but for now I'm pretty satisfied being a ninja.
17. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?:
Sydney, Australia. Sydney was voted the friendliest city in the world. Who wouldn't want to live there? Or the English countryside. If I have to pick in the U.S. I'd have to say Orlando, Florida (Theme parks are great if you have ADD), or southern California but maybe after they get out of debt.
18. If your life could be written by any author who would it be and what genre?:
Jasper Fforde and choose-your-own-adventure. I'm sure it would consist of traveling into books to save the literary world and probably the universe, possible time travel, battling evil corporations, illegal cheese and a dodo.
19. Favorite movie:
Eddie Izzard's Dress to Kill even though it's not technically a movie. If I had to pick an actual movie I'd have to say White Christmas.
20. What are your goals/dreams/aspirations for wormholeriders.com?:
To provide the most up to date news and convention coverage to our followers; to listen to the wants/needs of the fans and try to accommodate; and maybe even someday become well known in the sci-fi community as one of the top reporting sites on the net! Wow, that sounds like the "objective" section on a resume. Huh.
Of course there's always the dream that one of our favorite sci-fi stars will recognize us at a convention and say "I know you! You're from WormholeRiders!" Now THAT would be amazing! *dreamy sigh*
