Heya Everyone!!

First and foremost, I’m a wife and mother of two awesome kids. An autistic son and a typical daughter, so life here is anything but sane, lol!! I live in St. John’s, Newfoundland, but grew up on the outskirts for most of my life. Born in Toronto, Canada, was brought here when I was a baby, go figure,, lol!! After graduating high school, I took a year off. Then I went to a trade school of which I completed a Word Processing Operator program (secretary basically). Ended up working at Tim Horton’s, and for those of you who live in Canada, you know what that is.

After watching Stargate back in 1994, I suspected that it wouldn’t be long before they would come up with a TV show based on just that, and low and behold, in 1997, I watched the 2-hour pilot episode of Stargate SG-1 and was hooked ever since. I love the interaction with each of them, but loved Daniel Jackson

Although I’m sorry to say that I didn’t become a fan of Stargate Atlantis until late 2008, when I joined up and played MGM’s online game Stargate Special Ops and won the first 4 seasons. Upon watching them in order, I became instantly hooked, and a bigger and deeper fan of the Stargate franchise. Especially with the John Sheppard character. He’s my total favourite.

In 2008 I joined up on the Amanda Tapping official site, but just one of the regulars on there and a constant visitor to the new and improved chatroom. I’m not a moderator in there, but I with another woman, have been watchful to weirdos that might come in and say nasty things. Of which both of us had to report to the webmaster on 2 occasions.

I went to my first convention here in my city, of which I didn’t know about until I read it in the paper. I should buy them more often, lol!! While the convention is a 2-day experience, Saturday and Sunday in April, I was only able to make it to the Sunday one. Of which I had a good time. Even though I didn’t have a clue what I was supposed to do there. I met and chatted with Christian J. Simpson, Vaughn Armstrong, and Peter Mayhew (sorry if I spelt that wrong). Christian played a fighter pilot in the Star Wars episode 1 with the little Anikin. He then became Hayden’s acting double for episode 3. A really nice guy to chat with. Vaughn was so funny and very appreciative of me asking if I could put a short video of him on my face book, for all to see. Peter, it s very tall man, didn’t really chat with him much sorry. This April we are having Tony (Bra’tac) coming and I’m so excited to meet my very first Stargate actor. I’ll do my best in reporting when I meet him,, and even see about getting him aside at some point and doing my own Q&A with him.

Not long joining up on Twitter, I’ve been asked to be apart of this team, of which I was shocked and honoured to be apart of such an awesome team of people that respect the actors of which you meet, and hopefully put in a good word for me,, lol !! *wink wink*

1. Handle/Screenname:

I mainly use Shanise on sites I go on, but twitter I figured I’d be more professional and use my real name.

2. Education/Awards/Etc:

Diploma in Word Processing Operator (albeit outdated, lol!!)

3. Favorite Stargate character:

Well, I’d have to say that my favorite for SG-1 is still Daniel, love his love for history in the ancient cultures. My favorite for Stargate Atlantis is the one and only Lt. Col. John Sheppard.

4. Favorite Actor/Actress:

: Joe Flanigan, Amanda Tapping, Wesley Snipes. I’m sure there’s others, and in fact I know there are,, just can’t think of them at the moment

5. Favorite Band/Performer/s:

Def Leppard, and met 2 of the guys in the band as well. Rihanna, Pink, Beyonce, love all sorts of dance music, songs with a great beat

6. Hobbies:

Writing, making videos, watching SG-1, SGA and now SGU. Sanctuary.

7. Pets:

A small female beagle - Angel.

8. What's your theme song?:

9. If you could have a sidekick, who would it be?:Hmm hard one.

10. Favorite food:

Well seeing as I’m on a new diet, I have to say it’s toasted whole wheat bread with nutella on it with a cup of Tetley tea. Other wise it would have been pizza.

11. What would you keep in a utility belt?:

Hammer, screwdriver, and duct tape. And Joe’s number in case I needed his help with things, lol!!

12a. Favorite Stargate SG-1 Episodes:

Wow, hard to answer I loved them all,, well except for “200”, I’m sorry, I just couldn’t get into that one. Loved “Meridian” though and “Fallen”

12b. Favorite Stargate Atlantis Episodes:

Episodes that has A LOT of Sheppard, lol!!! Which are pretty much all of them, lol!!! “Doppleganger” was an awesome one.

Stargate

14. What's under your bed?:

Dust bunnies mostly, with boxes of Christmas decorations.

15. Favorite TV shows (not Stargate):

): Farscape, NCIS, GhostHunters

16. What is your dream job?:

To be Joe’s hair stylist, lol!!!

17. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?:

Anywhere that’s hot all year round.

Elisabeth Christensen and I’ll let her decide.

Stargate: Ark of Truth and Continuum, Stargate (orginal), Day After Tomorrow, Blade Trilogies, Star Wars, all 6 of them!

20. What are your goals/dreams/aspirations for WormholeRiders.Com?:

To write the best reports of conventions I attend to the best of my ability and to uphold the rules and regulations bestowed on me.

Of course my biggest dream is to eventually meet Joe Flanigan and to do my own 20 minute Q&A with him… that’s my dream.
